Of my many interests, sharing the top of the list with drawing and painting is traveling.
Though I have loved drawing the far off places to which I’ve traveled, in the time of Covid, traveling has come to mean going to a park or a lake where few people are walking.
The beauty of all the parks I have visited at this time has had a strong affect on me.
The variety of greens that can be found in the grass and clover on a sizable lawn or meadow, intrigues me and I am entranced by the pattern created by tree branches.
Architecture, which also fascinates me, makes its way into quite a few of my drawings.
Until recently, plein air drawing and painting never interested me, but I currently can’t seem to get enough of drawing skies, lakes, country roads, mountains and the weather that affects them.
