I am delighted with the way light plays with and changes color. I have been my own teacher developing my palette and personal style. I feel that I am really learning to see what is in front of me while bringing my interpretation of it to life on paper: that copper lamp; the edge of the gilded picture frame; the purple shadow under the papery onion and the warmth and transparency of that red flower petal.
